Oversized equipment by rail

2/2018

Hacklin Hamiko performed lashing and securing of oversized cargo for railway transportation from Finland to Russia. Project equipment was loaded on a special railway platform. Non-standard dimensions of the unique platform enabled to transport equipment large in height and narrow in size. Loading and lashing was performed according to a technical drawing developed by Hacklin Hamiko’s long-term partner, engineering company KTK Project.

This loading was unique due to the fact, that cargo had to be staffed and embed in a way that its dimensions fit vertical clear height. Otherwise transportation of this cargo by rail would not have been possible. Separate lashing of cargo on two levels, to the lower beams and upper level of the platform was needed. Since Hacklin Hamiko has experience of loading of non-standard cargo onto different types of railway platforms, lashing and securing was performed successfully.
