Hacklin Hamiko handled transportation and customs clearance of a concrete-element production plant from Finland to Saint-Petersburg area, Russia. Within planning stage of the project Hacklin Hamiko prepared detailed report in order to choose the most appropriate way of transportation and customs clearance of consignments and as well to evaluate possible risks and pitfalls during import of the equipment to Russia.

Components were disassembled for the delivery, photographed, measured and listed in detail. All the required customs and legal documentation was prepared in close co-operation with the client. The factory was delivered as a contribution in kind to a share capital of the client’s daughter company in Russia. The components were import customs cleared under special procedure by using only a few customs codes, which showed significant savings for the client on import duties, taxes and overall project-related costs.
